Changes in waste management service prices

Our goal is to provide our customers with high-quality and reliable waste management services now and in the future.

We will introduce a fuel surcharge for our business customers effective from 1 April 2026

The war in Iran has significantly increased fuel prices, and in this exceptional situation we unfortunately need to introduce a temporary fuel surcharge until further notice. Fuel costs are a key cost factor with a significant impact on our waste transport business.

The fuel index in the road freight transport cost index (Statistics Finland) increased by 8.6% from December 2025 to February 2026 and is expected to rise considerably further in March 2026. The average price of diesel and HVO for Remeo’s contract partners increased by 20% from January 2026 to March 2026.

As of 1 April 2026, we will add a 4% fuel surcharge to our waste transport, container emptying and washing prices. We will review the fuel index and fuel price trends on a monthly basis and determine the fuel surcharge for the following month accordingly. On the invoice, the fuel surcharge will be shown as a separate line item.

Changes to waste management service prices effective from 1 April 2026

Due to the recent increase in material, waste treatment and reception costs, we need to revise the prices of our services. These price adjustments are necessary to enable us to respond to rising operating costs and to further improve our services. We appreciate your understanding and continued cooperation.

As of 1 April 2026, we will increase the following prices:

  • Emptying, rental and washing prices: +8.5%
  • Waste treatment fees (excluding construction waste and plastics): +8.5%
  • The service fee for preparing a waste transfer note is EUR 12.90 per transfer note, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Changes to Remeo’s General Terms and Conditions effective from 1 April 2026

Remeo’s General Terms and Conditions have been updated, and the revisions will take effect on 1 April 2026. The most significant update concerns waste transfer notes and the service fees charged for them.

The waste holder is responsible for preparing a waste transfer note for all waste transfers where such a document is required. The Waste Act and the Government Decree on Waste set out the requirements for the content and preparation of the waste transfer note.

Remeo can provide the preparation of the waste transfer note and its submission to the SIIRTO register as a service to the waste holder. The service fee for preparing a waste transfer note is EUR 12.90 per transfer note, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
