Solid recovered fuels

Solid recovered fuels are produced as a result of sorting processes
Solid recovered fuels (SRF) are produced as part of the sorting processes at Remeo’s facilities. We refine these fuels from construction, retail, and industrial waste, from which all recyclable materials have already been separated.
Our solid recovered fuels consist of materials unsuitable for other forms of recovery—mainly plastics, fibres, and wood. These fuels have a high calorific value, meaning they generate a significant amount of thermal energy. Using these materials as energy-producing solid recovered fuels reduces the need for final disposal.

High-quality solid recovered fuels
The sorting technology used at Remeo’s facilities ensures that our solid recovered fuels are of high quality and free from materials that could still be directed to other forms of recovery. We remove metals from waste using magnets and eddy current separators, while our NIR (Near Infrared) technology identifies and separates different plastic types based on their suitability for reuse.
We continuously monitor the quality of our solid recovered fuels through regular sampling and analysis.
